Entertainers With Byron Allen - September 13, 2003
Byron: Johnny, how ya doin' man.
Johnny: Great man.
Byron: It's good to see you.
Johnny: You too.
Byron: You know, ah, you did such a great job on "Pirates." Did you have a good time doing that?
Johnny: Oh, unbelievable, such a ball.
Byron: Did you have a clue it would be so big?
Johnny: No, no no, no. I had no expectations at all - I mean I had hopes, you know, but, ah, you can never guess what it's going to be like and I was really shocked. I'm still shocked.
Byron: How's the music coming along?
Johnny: I still play.
Byron: Yeah?
Johnny: Yeah, yeah, I still play.
Byron: You writing?
Johnny: A little bit. I did a piece for this, for "Mexico." I wrote one of the, um, I wrote a theme song for my character.
Byron: Is that right?
Johnny: Yeah, Robert was really great. You know, one day on the set he just asked me, you know, he said "Why don't you write a theme, a piece for your character?" So I kinda did as just a sort of fun little side project and, um, sent it to him, and he put it in the film and he had it orchestrated and stuff you know.
Johnny: Yeah, it was really fun.
